About Lowest Fee Gold IRA
Published ยท Updated
Lowest Fee Gold IRA answers one question: what does a gold IRA cost to hold, company by company? The calculator on the home page adds up each company's published setup, admin and storage fees for the amount, period and storage type you choose. The guides explain the costs the calculator can't show, starting with the dealer's markup.
What we cover
Eight companies that sell metal for self-directed IRAs: American Hartford Gold, Augusta Precious Metals, Birch Gold Group, Goldco, Lear Capital, Noble Gold Investments, Patriot Gold Group and Priority Gold. We leave out companies that are out of business, in bankruptcy or the subject of recent regulator fraud findings.
Caution on Lear Capital: NY AG $6M consent order (2022) and 2022 Chapter 11 with multistate $5.5M restitution.Caution on Priority Gold: Site claims 'fully accredited' BBB A+ and 4.9 Trustpilot; BBB shows NOT accredited and Trustpilot shows 4.8 (2026-10-29).
Every fee, minimum, waiver and promotion on the site comes from one record per company, built from the company's own pages, its custodian's published schedule and public records, with a source link and a check date for each figure. Where a company doesn't publish something, we say "not published" instead of estimating.
Editor
Jan Wirum is the editor of Lowest Fee Gold IRA and is responsible for every page.
We don't publish under made-up names, and no page carries a persona, a testimonial or an invented credential.
Publisher
Lowest Fee Gold IRA is published by Lead Partner, a company registered in Norway (org. no. 926 580 094).
We are a publisher. We are not a financial adviser, broker, custodian or precious metals dealer, and we don't sell metal, open accounts or handle money.
How the site is paid for
Goldco and Augusta Precious Metals pay us when readers request information through our links, and Goldco also pays when a referred reader buys. That's why their buttons appear on the site. It doesn't change the order or the figures: tables are sorted by cost or listed alphabetically, and Goldco is described as what it is on fees, a company on the custodian's standard schedule with no published waiver. The affiliate disclosure has the details, and the methodology explains the calculator.
Our view of gold
Gold pays no interest or dividends, can fall in price for long stretches, and costs money every year it sits in an IRA. This site exists to make those costs visible before anyone signs. If the numbers tell you not to open an account, that is a good outcome too.
